spore-site.comspore-site.com grew out of close examination with categorical systems common to library catalogs. Inspired by literature on mycelial networks, the goal was to build a site of reference points that visitors could navigate intuitively, without the standard limitations of prescribed labels. I began by collecting recordings from individuals in my community, to whom I posed the following prompt: “Share a quote, a moment, or an experience that made you feel connected.” Each recording was aggregated and keyworded, and now lives inside spore-site.com, where individuals can interact with it and retrieve a collection of associated references.
