Lydia Chodosh holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Prior to RISD, she worked as the Associate Art Director at Harper’s Magazine, directing illustration and researching contemporary fine art. Her work examines language tools, literary structures, and concepts of craft. She is interested in the role of indexing and cataloging in the production of bodies of knowledge, an important feature of her graduate thesis book On the Impulse to Notate.
